Redesigning Food Systems for Low-Capacity Days
The day gets away from you, meals get delayed or skipped, and by night you're eating late because your body is trying to catch up. In this session I walk through why that pattern happens, and how to make meals more visible, more balanced and more workable on hard days.

When Food Feels Impossible: ADHD Food Systems That Work When Willpower Doesn’t
Online ADHD Awareness Expo 2026, opening October 17
Food can feel impossible for adults with ADHD, not because they lack nutrition knowledge or willpower, but because eating consistently requires executive function.
Attendees will leave with:
A no-thinking food list
A capacity-based food decision tool
An emergency food backup system for days when cooking or planning feels out of reach
Summit interview
The Fuel Behind the Fall Apart: Why Routines Collapse by Week Two
Crush It at Work & School Summit, hosted by Alan P. Brown, September 2026
I talked about why new routines fall apart in the second week, and why that comes down to blood sugar regulation rather than discipline.
Attendees got:
The one question that tells you whether your brain needs fuel or your task needs clarity
Specific nutrition shifts that keep attention and energy from crashing when a routine starts
Break Glass In Case of 3 pm, an emergency fuel guide for the afternoon crash
Live workshop
How to Feed Your ADHD Brain During the Workday
Neuro-Friendly Sales Accelerator, hosted by Polly Pollock, July 2026
I ran this as a guest expert inside Polly's program for ADHD and AuDHD entrepreneurs and coaches, so her members had a food system to use alongside the business work they were already doing with her.
Her members got:
A clear picture of where food stops for each of them during a working day
A one-page cheat sheet, filled in live, with a default breakfast and three meals for the days with no energy left to decide
The ADHD Meal Matrix to choose meals from, kept in the program's replay library
For practitioners
Non-Adherence as Clinical Data: Auditing Your Protocols for Executive Function Cost
Available for conferences, professional associations and practitioner trainings
When a client doesn't follow a protocol, the finding usually gets recorded against the client. This session looks at the protocol instead.
Practitioners leave with:
How to tell an under-fuelled client from a protocol that's built badly
A four-point audit to run on their own handouts
An intake sequence that finds where in the day a client's plan stops
How to rewrite a recommendation as an if-then plan tied to a time and place

Speaker bio
For hosts and organizers
I'm a Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Certified ADHD Life Coach and Ontario Certified Teacher, and I'm completing an MSc in Applied Neuroscience. I spent nearly twenty years in the classroom before this work, so every talk I give is built the way I'd build a lesson: structured, clear, and usable by the people in the room the next day. I also teach longevity nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
My talks sit where nutrition science, neuroscience and ADHD coaching meet. Most audiences already know what they're supposed to eat. What I explain is why that knowledge doesn't turn into action on a busy or depleted day, and what to change in the environment and the routine so that it does. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 45 and I'm raising neurodivergent kids, so I speak from inside the experience as well as from the research.
What your audience leaves with
A clear explanation of why energy, focus and follow-through drop at predictable points in the day
Specific changes they can make that week, small enough to keep up when life is busy
A practical tool, usually a one-page worksheet they fill in during the session
A way of reading missed plans as a design problem to fix, which takes the blame off the person
Who I speak to
ADHD, neurodiversity and women's health conferences and summits
Workplaces and employee wellness programs, where the focus is steadier energy and focus through the working day
Schools and parent communities
Nutritionists, coaches and allied health practitioners
Podcasts and media
I offer keynotes, workshops, panels and interviews, in person or online.
