Hopefully, you and your family had a chance to slow down over the holiday.
Over here in the Jones household we encountered a few adventures in home-ownership and are finally getting over a battle with the flu!Â
Â
We are definitely looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.Â
Â
As you know, routines are the secret sauce to running happy and healthy household.Â
Â
BUT - After a break from those routines, it's sometimes hard to jump back in easily.Â
You also might have set a few goals, either for yourself or your family.Â
Â
For me, I have my sights set on incorporating a little more self-care in the midst of our busy family schedule.Â
My aim is to make small, mindful changes in my daily routine to nourish my body and soul and to include regular movement every day.
If you are anything like me, our family is constantly running from one after-school commitment to the next and we often don't eat ‘family’ meals all together (I know, I know - I promise we do on weekends).
Â
BUT…
Â
What I realized is that even as a holistic nutritionist, I wasn't ensuring that I also was getting the nutrients that I need too! (I know what you're thinking - but, as a parent you know that it's always all about the kids).Â
I am committed to making meal prep for myself a more consistent part of my routine.
I know phrases like ‘meal prep’ and ‘batch cooking’ can sometimes seem scary or intimidating…
But, I've come up with a really easy and healthy mason jar meals guide to ensure at least 1, 2 or even 3 of our meals each day are packed with the nutrients we need to support our busy daily routine.Â
My Mason Jar Meals Guide is full of recipes that are easy to make, easy to store, and also rather pretty...!
I promise, it will solve any of your ‘What do I eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner’ problems multiple times a week!
Â
It might seem like a lot at first, so my suggestion is to start with 1 or 2 recipes or combinations that suit you and your tastes.Â
This is a super-uncomplicated (and free!) version of my meal-prep nutrition coaching offer that you can adapt to your life, with ease.Â
On a lazy Sunday or whatever day you may have an hour or so, gather, chop and pop the ingredients in a few mason jars, store in the fridge and see how it goes!
Â
So, take a peek at my guide - try some ideas and recipes out, and let me know what you think!Â
Thank you for being part of this community. I'm always here to support and share in our nutrition and parenting journeys.
Â
And remember, you need to take care of you, too.
